Children’s Ministry
Welcome to our Children's Ministry program at UCC Medfield. Our ministry program involves children in the nursery through fifth grade who have Christian education during the 9:30 Sunday morning worship or 11:00 praise worship service. The purpose of our children’s ministry program is to teach all our children about God’s great love for them. This great love is revealed over and over in the greatest book ever written…The Holy Bible.
APRIL 2012 CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES NEWS AND NOTES
1. Our April Children's Church service was held on Sunday, April 1st in the Great Room where we celebrated Jesus' entry into Jerusalem and then "walked" through the story of Holy Week. All pre-k through 5th grade students are included in this worship service. This service includes lively praise music, prayers and a short message.
2. We rejoice with all our 5th grade students who made their first educated Communion on Maundy Thursday. If you were in attendance, you would have noticed all of them wearing their special "remembering stoles" they made for this special faith milestone.
3. We are holding two special multi-age Sunday School classes during school vacation week. On April 15 & April 22, all kindergarten through 5th grade students will gather in Fellowship Hall for Sunday School. Pre-k students will report to their classes as usual at the beginning of the 9:30 worship service.
4. UCC Mothers of Young children---a weekly mohter's group/playgroup is forming and we would love to have you join us. Contact Pastor Karen for more information.
5. Take-home sorting bags for Cradles to Crayons are available from the shelves in the stairwell off the narthex. YOU CAN ALSO SIGN UP FOR OUR MONTHLY VOLUNTEER DATES IN THE BRIGHTON WAREHOUSE ON THE CLIPBOARDS IN THE NARTHEX. Our last volunteer date for this school year is Friday, May 18th.
